Appointment to Shadow Minister Portfolios

It is a privilege to be appointed as the Coalition’s Shadow Minister for Emergency Management, Shadow Minister for Fisheries and Forestry, and Shadow Minister for Water.

I am looking forward to working closely with stakeholders and communities to listen to their concerns, and will be hitting the ground running in the electorate Lyne tomorrow with David Littleproud and Alison Penfold to hear from flood affected communities.

These portfolios are at the heart of The Nationals - ensuring sustainable water management, protecting and advancing Australia’s fisheries and forestry sectors, and strengthening our national emergency response frameworks.

I am proud to take on these portfolios and will work tirelessly to represent the interests of regional Australia. Our communities face unique challenges and I intend to listen and be a strong voice for those affected.

This appointment is part of the Coalition’s broader strategy to build a strong and effective opposition that not only holds the government to account but also lays the groundwork for a future Coalition government with a team that balances proven experience with fresh perspectives.
